At the Involvement fair there were numerous clubs and organizations that new students could join. Some of the clubs that interested me were the outdoors club, Club Rugby, and Club Hockey. I signed up for Club Hockey and Club Rugby and learned some information about each. I learned that for Club Hockey, there are two or three practices a week. I learned that there may not be a spot to store my equipment so I will need to store it in the stairs or in my dorm room. I have played hockey for most of my life and it has always been something that I love to do and can never not want to play. When I talked with the players on the team who were at the table for the involvement fair, I also learned that there are no cuts and those who are on the team and who are well committed and show true passion for the sport and play and practice with the team will play.

My dad played rugby from highschool until he was about 23 years old. He has always wanted me to play rugby, a few years ago I tried rugby with my brother but did not like it. I thought that I would give it another try this year possibly. Something that I learned about rugby is that their schedules do not interfere. Furthermore, if I were to play Club Hockey at the same time as Club Rugby, it would be manageable in terms of athletics.
